Pojar was discovered fifteen years ago by Council member Mace Windu while trying to stop a revolt on the Aqualish homeworld of Ando.  Young Pojar was an outcast for not having the usual warlike attitude common to the Aqualish.  A younger Mace Windu had come upon a group of City Guard beating the child who had tried to steal food.  When the Jedi Knight intervened it was then he sensed that the Force was strong in the child.  

Upon completion of Mace Windu’s mission he returned to Coruscant with Pojar and was granted permission to train the youth in the ways of the Jedi.  Pojar Drake grew to become one of the Order’s most powerful and trusted Jedi.
